Current status: The AI150 Index Committee is a planned future body of independent advisors. Until it is formed, the reference basket and example weights are published openly for community review. No committee member is claimed to exist today — this section describes how the index will be governed.
The Index Committee is responsible for the methodology: deciding which companies enter or leave the reference basket, reviewing weights on a fixed schedule, and publishing the reasons behind every change so the community can follow the logic.
The goal is a committee of independent advisors, not a single founder making private decisions. Building this independence is a roadmap milestone. Until then, the rules below act as the public standard the project holds itself to.
A company may be referenced if it is a clear, established leader in artificial intelligence — across compute, cloud, models, infrastructure, or AI-native products.
A company may be removed if its role in the AI sector materially declines, or if a stronger, more representative AI leader emerges in its place.
Weights and constituents are reviewed every quarter. Between reviews, the published methodology stays fixed so the concept is predictable.
Every change to entry, exit, or weighting is published with a short explanation, so the community can see what changed and why.
